Website delivery and server logs
When you request a page, the web server and hosting service process in particular your IP address, time, requested address, response status, amount of data transferred and browser-supplied device, browser and referrer information. This is needed to deliver the site, diagnose faults, and prevent attacks or abuse.
Routine access and error logs are rotated and retained for no more than 14 days. Records relating to a specific security incident may be kept longer while it is investigated or while legal claims are established, exercised or defended. This processing serves our interest in a secure and reliable service and, where relevant, compliance with legal obligations.
Newsletter
For the optional newsletter we use your email address and necessary confirmation, unsubscribe and technical delivery records. Messages begin only after you confirm the link sent to you (double opt-in). Delivery is based on your consent; evidence and abuse prevention support legal compliance and our legitimate protective interests.
You can unsubscribe through the link in every message or at info@syntega.it. Your address is then removed from the active list. A minimal suppression or evidence record may remain while needed to respect the opt-out or handle claims. Unconfirmed registrations and technical records are removed when their purpose ends. Comment addresses are never added to the newsletter.
Comments and simple view counts
Comments use our Artalk system. When you write, we use the display name, email address, optional website and comment you provide. Your display name and text are public; the optional website may be linked publicly. Your email is not public and is used only for moderation, abuse prevention and a possible question about your comment.
Artalk also receives the page identifier and usual technical request data for simple view counts and comment operation. It is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking or user profiles. Comments normally remain published until removed or no longer relevant. You may request removal by email. We cannot always retrieve public material already copied, quoted or cached by a search engine.
Direct contact
If you write to us, we use the sender details and message to handle your request. We then delete them unless a legal retention duty or legitimate need for evidence remains.
